Beyoncé responds to hair care criticism with her hair washing routine


Bey ready: Beyoncé shared a rare behind-the-scenes look at her wash-of-the-day routine on Monday, dismissing those who criticized reports of her hair care line with a Close-up look at her natural hair.

In it, she explains how she maintains her blonde texture with a regimen of seven products (and other tools) and delicately curls her “long and healthy” hair.

The Grammy winner, who launched her luxury line in February, added that she's really proud of the quality of her products. And while sitting in various chairs in the salon during the tutorial, she showed fans how to wash, condition and style her hair. She said she blow-dried her hair on medium heat using the Dyson Airwrap attachment, flat-ironed her hair, and used an “old-fashioned straightening brush” to straighten her curly hair.

“My hair has never been this long, it's never been this much moisturized, and I've managed to maintain my texture and curls even when my hair is too blonde. And my hair is flowing,” she says in voiceover.

Multihyphenatewho grew up sweeping hair in her mother Tina Knowles's salon, also seemed to address the criticism she's received since launching her hair care line, especially complaints that she did not reveal her natural hair and others objected to her hair journey.

“The stigma and misconception is that people who wear wigs don't have long, healthy hair. That’s some b—,” she intoned, “because it ain’t nobody’s business.”

On the official Cécred Instagram account, the brand says the line “exists so that anyone has the opportunity to express themselves in the way they choose. There's no better way to celebrate that than with our founder, @beyonce sharing about herself.”
