The Haval Jolion Pro comes to Australia as the Jolion Hybrid
GWM is set to refresh Haval Jolion with upgrades for pure gasoline models while striving to bring a new product, Haval Jolion Pro (also known as Chitu or Red Rabbit), to replace hybrid models.
A renewed GWM Haval Jolion has appeared in government approval documents, with revised front and rear styling.
It features an updated version of the combustion engine-powered Jolion's front fascia, visually aligned with the Jolion Hybrid in the Thai market. However, our Jolion Hybrid will be replaced by the Jolion Pro.
That car has been spotted in Australia and is being undergone experiment. It will now arrive at the same time as the new Jolion petrol in the near future, with an announcement expected in the coming weeks to confirm exact timing.
The sportier looking Red Rabbit has been on sale in China since 2021. It is almost identical in size to the Jolion, has the same 2700mm wheelbase and is only 2mm shorter overall at 4470mm, although despite being 57 mm wider.
While the full specification of the new Jolion Hybrid is yet to be confirmed for our market, in other right-hand drive markets such as South Africa it is offered with a four-cylinder hybrid powertrain. cylinder 139kW/375Nm.
The car's interior will also likely be similar to other right-hand drive markets, meaning it will look like a regular Jolion, rather than left-hand drive versions with unique interiors.
