Billie Lourd calls out Carrie Fisher’s siblings for public “attacks”
Billie Lourd is setting a record for his late mother Carrie Fisherupcoming heritage celebration.
May 3, the daughter of the late Star Wars legend confirms that she purposely ignored Carrie’s siblings—Todd, happy And Tricia Leigh Fisher—from her mother’s May 4 testament Hollywood Walk of Fame entrance ceremony.
“The truth is I didn’t invite them to this ceremony,” Billie, 30, said in a statement obtained by E! News. “They know why.”
Todd said TMZ On May 2, he was “removed” from the ceremony, which he found “really hurtful.” Her aunt wrote on Instagram May 3 that Billie “chosen not to bring us into this wonderful moment in our sister’s career.”
Billie said their messages prompted her to issue a statement in response. “I looked at the posts and press releases put out by my mother’s siblings,” she said. “I apologize to anyone reading this who felt the need to publicly defend themselves from these family members. But unfortunately, because they publicly attacked me, I had to publicly respond.”
