During these difficult times, I strongly recommend investing in an air purifier to help keep your home free of nasty allergens entering from the outside. Efficient in spaces up to 361 feet, the Airmega 200M is our favorite air purifier for small rooms. It’s just compact And attractive, so you will have no trouble finding a suitable spot for it in your home. It also comes with an air quality monitor that speeds up the fan whenever particles are detected and turns off when no pollution is detected—a great way to save energy.
Pure Fan Auto is a great choice if you’re looking for a quiet air purifier — it circulates air five times an hour in a 362 square foot room. It doubles as a fan too. It’s not powerful enough to cool down an uncomfortably hot room, but it feels nice sitting in front of it. Light sleepers will also appreciate the Night Mode feature, which switches the fan to its lowest setting and turns off the air quality indicator light. This is the lowest price we’ve tracked so far.
This received an honorable mention in our compilation of The best air purifier. It is rated for smaller rooms, specifically between 180 and 320 square feet. It packs a Hepa filter H13, along with support for Google Assistant, Alexa, and HomeKit (great if you have an iPhone). It also comes with a handle to carry it from room to room and it speeds up considerably when there are more particles in the room than usual.
If you’re about to have a well-deserved vacation, we recommend adding Wynd Plus to your packing list. As one of the smallest air purifiers on the market, it fits in the cup holder in the car and on the nightstand. Although not a HEPA filter, it is still capable of cleaning particles larger than 0.3 microns within 3 feet. It comes with an air quality sensor, kickstand and microfiber travel bag. It has dropped to as low as $155, but we still think it’s a solid deal.
This deal is only available to Amazon Prime subscribers. If you’re not sure if you need an air purifier, we recommend getting an air quality monitor. Temptop M10 not only monitors volatile organic compound (TVOC) and formaldehyde levels (ONLY2Ol) but also the general air quality index (measurement of particulate matter with a size of 2.5 micrometers or lesssuch as fire smoke). However, it does not track CO2 or humidity. It fell to $76 last month, but it doesn’t fluctuate in price often.
