Bizarre! Twitter user puts burger in air fryer, test goes viral
The new year has brought a whole new set of weird experiments. Internet users and food bloggers have come up with all sorts of creative food combinations that confuse us. From fusion foods to wacky food combinations, this year users have started concocting some interesting and unique foods. Recently, a Twitter user using the @KLobstar handle did a weird experiment. He put a McDonald’s Big Mac burger in his air fryer for two hours and tweeted about the progress live on his handle. Check out the first tweet in the series:

@KLobstar’s weird experiment went viral and racked up nearly 200k likes and 25k retweets. Interestingly, the same user did a similar experiment with hot dogs last year, which is why he decided to replace it with a burger this year. “I learned my lesson last year – don’t eat burgers. You can see I also removed the lettuce from this burger, assuming it will catch on fire,” he wrote.
Explaining why he decided to do this experiment, he wrote, “For a year, I received the same question – “why” “why are you doing this” and that pretty obvious. I’m a genius with a lot of time on his hands (unemployed).” He added that this year his wife knew about his experiment but even now it’s still not hot. love it.
The Twitter user did this experiment in two parts – heating the burger to 300 degrees Celsius for 60 minutes each and creating a gap in the middle. First, the smell covered the entire kitchen and the burger became extremely hard when viewed from above. However, the interior remains pretty much the same at least for the first hour. Watch:

50 minutes have passed. 70 minutes left. Amazingly, not much has changed.

“Not much of a difference from the original, it’s a little darker, a lot stiffer, but the inside is still almost untouched,” he wrote in his tweet. The experiment continued for another hour, after which the cheese began to bubble and look like peanut butter. His whole house was filled with the bad smell and then he decided to cut it out and eat it. “Cross-section – looks like the inside of the hamburger is relatively untouched and very soft. Smells a bit like homemade meatloaf,” the user concluded in his tweet. He added that the smell, “It was horrible, absolutely disgusting. 7/10 stars.”
