Clare Manning’s Boherguy Stud Offered A First Day Of Goffs Fall School Sale On Wednesday In The Shape Of Dawn Approach colt was knocked down by Alex Elliott for 80,000 euros.
Lot 458 is the brother of Group 3 placing Strapped (Ire) and not the only big result Manning enjoyed during the day.
Another son of the 2000 Guineas winner, lot 441, made 50,000 euros for BBA Ireland while Boherguy Stud could have collected a clean sweep if Castlebridge Consignment had sold it. Sea The Stars Dirty (Ire) [lot 408] for €60,000 for MC Bloodstock.
In the end, Boherguy Stud had to settle to fill three of the top four spots for the day after selling a due diligence pony [lot 257] to BBA Ireland for €46,000.
Boherguy Stud sold 12 annuities for a total of €250,500, averaging €20,875 per lot, and ended the day as the top consignor.
There were 191 lots sold on Wednesday for a total of €1,813,400 and trading resumed on Thursday at 10am.
