Shattered Love ranked first in terms of sales | Goffs
1st place winner Broken Love (Ire) (Yeats {Ire}) (lot 723) brought in a peak sale of €260,000 from MA Bloodstock during the final trading session of the Goffs December NH Sale on Thursday. The winner of the G1 Neville Hotels Fort Leney Novice Chase competition, the 10-year-old was carrying for the Park Walk (Ire) and was recommended by Gigginstown House Stud.
Another Yeats daughter from the Gigginstown House draft, Tintangle (Ire) (lot 726), was taken by Coolmara Stables to the Crystal Ocean (GB). Sold for 190,000 euros, the 8-year-old won a listing bumper and finished third in the Hurdle G1 Paddy Power Future Champions in November.
Gigginstown House also launched the third tallest lot of the day-Surin (Fr) (Allowed {Ire}). Newtown Anner/Ballylinch acquired the bay for €115,000. Lot 725, the student who won 3rd place in hurdles and 1st place, visited Lyric (Ire) this spring.
From the foal sale, 408 (68%) were sold out of the 596 offered for a total of €6,003,800. The average rose two points to €14,715 and the median to €9,500 (-5%). The entire sale raised €7,164,300 for 44 units sold from 667 units on offer (66%). The average was unchanged at €10,000 and the average improved to €16,136 (+1%).
