Last seen finishing to the finish line to win a 6 1/4 gate play during the Invitational Paradise Awards at the Aqueduct on February 23 and racing in the owner/home royal blue breeder Godolphin, the flying daughter of another prolific breeder took a step back from home and was treated patiently by Flavien Prat at the end of the yard as An Interstate Dream (Classic Empire) And Hidden connection (Connect) squared up front. Last of the octet in the first turn, Frost Point saved the backstretch in the opening quarter: 24.03 set up by a Hidden Connection now solo. Keeping in touch with the tightly assembled group of people, she began to circle the far bend, into the fading water. Pass (street feeling) before passing through the quarter column to aim dead on the lead pair of Hidden Connections and How refreshing (start). While she needed the length of the short Keeneland to get through, Frost Point regrouped outside and overcame Hidden Connection in the final steps, winning 9-2.
Winning trainer Bill Mott said: “Over the summer, she gained weight and started to look better. “She came back very well. She’s now triple (starting December 30 at the Aqueduct in her first start since May). It was a very good race, and she beat a really solid field.
