Canada Yearling Sale on August 31
The Canadian Thoroughbred Society’s flagship sale, to be held August 31 in Woodbine, drew more than 200 entries and will include crosses from 67 different stallions. The top five Ontario studs for 2021 represented at the sale include Silent Name (Jpn), Souper Speedy, Old Forester, President of the Association and Reload. Also in this category are the seeds from the first crop of Catholic boy, FlameawayHeart to Heart and Yoshida (Jpn), as well as from the second crop of Always dreamingAmis Gizmo, Mule’s Army, CollectedDanish Dynaformer, Ransom the Moon and Seattle Serenade.
Peter Berringer, President of CTHS (Ontario Division) commented: “This sale has attracted many avid aficionados from a range of proven and upcoming stallions.” “Ontario Bred / Sired Thoroughbreds continues to be successful both in Ontario and throughout North America. With pandemic restrictions lifted and borders now open, we expect our buyer base to grow this year.”
