“Chris Eubank Jr is a useful person to anyone”
Via Daniele D’Alessio: In a recent interview with SecondsOut, seasoned coach Adam Booth believes that Chris Eubank Jr is hard to beat.
“He’s a hand that’s right for anyone because he’s got the mental toughness a boxer should have, he’s got great hand speed, he’s tough, he’s unpredictable at time”
Despite being Liam Williams’ head coach, Booth accepts that the son of legend Chris Eubank is a great boxer in his own right.
Eubank Jr and Williams are scheduled to face off on February 5 at Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff. After two consecutive reschedules, this fierce competition has finally come to an end, which many consider to be a true 50-50 competition.
Booth was Eubank Jr’s coach for a few fights back in 2015 and knows the Next Generation superstar’s personality and abilities well.
The question is, will Booth’s experience in coaching Eubank Jr give Williams the edge he needs to get and win the fight?
Now coached by Hall of Famer Roy Jones Jr, Eubank Jr finally has a coach he respects and listens to.
Although his last two opponents are both under-star, the Brighton man has shown an improvement in his boxing abilities and it will be interesting to see what approach he chooses to counter. Welsh tennis player.
Williams was about to lose to Demetrius Andrade but his stock rose from that fight on show of heart and determination to last the full 12 rounds.
The winner of this fight will be preparing for a big fight in the summer, so there’s a lot at stake besides bragging rights.
Is Eubank Jr now an even better fighter than he remembers? Or does he still lack the edge against stiffer opposition that Booth and Williams can capitalize on?
