Commercial LPG prices increase by Rs 105
New Delhi:
Prices for commercial liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), used in hotels and other commercial establishments, rose by Rs 105 on Tuesday to the second-highest level, even as price subsidies for households remained unchanged. Unaffected.
The price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder was subsequently increased to Rs 2,012 from Rs 1,907, according to the price notices of the state fuel retailers.
This is the second highest rate, after Rs 2,101 per cylinder in December 2021.
LPG prices are adjusted on the 1st of each month based on the previous month’s benchmark fuel prices.
However, the price of domestic cooking gas LPG sold to households has not changed since October when it increased to Rs 899.50 per 14.2 kg tank.
The domestic LPG price freeze was mainly due to criticism from the opposition that the price had increased by Rs 90 in the previous six months.
Similarly, gasoline and diesel prices have also stabilized for more than 100 days from November 4, 2021, when the government cut the excise tax on gasoline and diesel on the eve of Diwali.
There is speculation that fuel prices could be raised once the council elections in Uttar Pradesh are over on March 7, as global crude prices have surged following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine last week.
