Cooking tip: How to revive old and hard days to make them soft and fresh again
Dates are dark brown, creamy and sweet, and are one of the popular dried fruits that people love to eat! Also known as khajur, this dried fruit is prepared by heating the date to give it a unique and juicy texture. These are often enjoyed as a snack or added to recipes to make dishes more flavorful. However, our daily cooking does not require much use of dates. People tend to have some dates ready at home, somewhere in their fridge, otherwise it’s unlikely it will be needed in the recipe. If dates are not used for a long time, they tend to dry out and become hard, making them difficult to use in recipes! We’ve found a way to bring these hard old days back to life.

How to renew your old date. Revitalize your days to make them soft and fresh
The key to makeup for the old days, hidden in the corner of your fridge is simple. First, boil some water. Next, put the dry dates in the bowl. Pour boiling water just enough to bring to a boil so that all the crocodiles are covered. Let the dates soak in hot water for 10 minutes. After soaking the dates, filter the fruit and discard the water. You’ll have fresh, tender, and sweet dates ready to use in any recipe.
Old dates lose all their moisture as they dry, which is why soaking dates helps restore the lost moisture. The soaking process softens the flesh of the date, leaving it with a delicious taste similar to that of a fresh date. By refreshing the dates, you can easily blend them into your food or drink and can even enjoy them as a snack.
Another little trick to revitalizing dates is to give them some extra flavor. All you have to do is soak the dates in juice, brandy, bourbon or rum instead of water!
