Cow’s about that: Bullock’s pool rescue goes swimmingly as firefighters get him mooving | UK News
A young gaur who fell into a swimming pool after escaping a field was pulled to safety by firefighters.
The 600kg farm animal was pulled out with a harness after spending about four hours in water shortages in Paignton, South Devon.
Rob Cude, team manager at Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Services, said: “He spent quite a bit of time with his nose just below the surface blowing bubbles, which he seemed to enjoy. “
“When they started pumping the water out, he seemed to be swimming along the pool and investigating the pump,” he added.
“All[were]relieved to see him safe and well.”
After the bull was lifted out of the pool and released from the harness, it was transferred to a cattle trailer and taken back to the local ranch to recuperate from the dip.
Mr. Cude added: “A really good outcome for a very cold young bull.
