Customers Have Long List of Food Allergies Shocking Restaurants, Reddit Says at Home
After two years of the pandemic, restaurants and eateries are finally opening. Customers are dining with revenge and visiting all their favorite stores across the globe. Due to health concerns, many people have started to choose a vegan or vegetarian diet. Therefore, customers share their dietary preferences with the chef so that these restrictions can be kept in mind while preparing meals. One such list of food preferences — or, more specifically, food allergies — shocked Reddit. Customers have a one-page list of all the foods they can’t consume. Don’t believe us? The listing was shared in sub Reddit r/KitchenConfidential by user u /uffintoucan123. In the span of a few hours, it has racked up more than 4.5k upvotes and 1.2k comments and the number is only growing. “Allergy list from customer,” the user wrote in the photo’s caption.
The customer’s list of food allergies is titled ‘Inedible’ and has at least 20-25 odd entries underneath. The list of foods is divided into categories and practically lists everything that can be in each category. Gluten, dairy, red meat, meat substitutes, fruit, seasonings and spreads, and sweeteners are some of the foods listed by customers. Even things like Falafel, Hummus, Tzatziki and Pesto make the ‘don’t eat’ list.
Reddit users were divided after seeing the long list of food allergy cases shared by customers. “The list of what they can eat will be shorter,” said one. Others argued that hanging out was clearly not an option for this customer, and that he should just cook and eat at home. “I can’t even imagine this hell. No curry, no beer, no apple, no mango, no beans, no onions, no red meat, no garlic… those are my favorite foods. “, commented another.
