Dark Angel’s mystical night comes first in Deauville
Via Sean Cronin
Ranked third last month G2 July S. at Newmarket and G2 Vintage S. at Goodwood, Godolphin’s 2-year-old hybrid Mystic Night (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire} –Mistrusting {Ire}, by Shamardal) returned in full form for a comfortable final win in Sunday’s G3 Circus Maximus Prix Francois Boutin at Deauville. Clinging firmly behind all four opponents throughout the half-way, the 2-5 favorite created an eye-catching passage as he tilted outward for a clear path approaching the quarter-marker miles and continued to be lightly urged when gaining the advantage over the long column to register a career half the length from Bolshkinov (Fr) (Camacho {GB}).
