Aggressive, catalytic, domestic product first appeared at Churchill

Repole Stables severity (City of light) made its debut on the Churchill Downs main track on a sunny Tuesday morning. Led by regular exercise rider Danny Wright, Fierceness galloped a mile during the 7:30-7:45 practice time for Kentucky Derby and Oaks runners. Wright has been the defending junior champion's regular morning partner since last summer at Saratoga.
“He looked smooth and handled well,” trainer Todd Pletcher said of the morning's practice.
GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile and GI winner curled up Florida Derby, Fierceness is scheduled to work Friday morning weather permitting.
Pletcher said Fierceness will make a few trips to the starting gate as well as a few practice sessions in the paddock next week.
Also making their debut on the track on Tuesday morning were Tami Bobo, Julie Davies and George Isaacs' Catalysis (Cruiser Catalina), who jogged a mile under the guidance of gymnast Olaf Hernandez. Trained by Saffie Joseph Jr., the Florida Derby runner-up arrived at Churchill Downs Monday morning after driving from South Florida. Catalytic is scheduled to work on Sunday.
Also get a first look at Churchill Downs, Chad Brown-trained Klaravich Stables' Domestic products (Practical joke) galloped a mile and a half in training from 7:30-7:45 for Kentucky Derby and Oaks horses. Partnered by GIII Tampa Derby winner Peter Roman and stablemate Peter Roman Sierra Leone (Gun Runner), winner of GI Blue Grass S. and GII Risen Star S.
“The first day on the track was amazing. [Domestic Product] going well,” Brown said.
Sierra Leone has gym regular Kriss Bon on board. Sierra Leone is owned by the partnership of Peter Brant, Mrs. John Magnier, Michael Tabor, Derrick Smith, Westerberg and Brook Smith.
