Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai will review the curbs tomorrow

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Monday will hold a high-level meeting with senior officials to review the restrictions imposed in the city to prevent high pollution levels, officials said. on Sunday.
“The meeting has been called to review the restrictions which will end on Sunday. Officials from all relevant departments will be present,” an official said.
Air quality in Delhi Authorities said levels remained “very poor” on Sunday morning and strong surface winds were likely to reduce the day’s high pollution levels.
The city recorded an air quality index (AQI) at 382 at 9 a.m. The 24-hour average AQI was 374 on Saturday.
Neighboring countries Faridabad (347), Ghaziabad (344), Greater Noida (322), Gurgaon (345) and Noida (356) also recorded their air quality as ‘very poor’.
To combat pollution, the Delhi government on Wednesday issued 10 directives, including a ban on trucks carrying non-essential items into the city and the closure of schools and colleges until further notice.
The Delhi government has banned construction and demolition activities in the city until November 21. It has also ordered its employees to work from home until Sunday.
Mr. Rai also said 1,000 private CNG buses will be leased to strengthen the public transport system.
