Come into the light is a pretty big content update for Destiny 2aims to bridge the gap between Season of wishes and coming soon Final shape expansion.
Into the Light includes new modes, the return of some of the game's most beloved weapons, new PvP maps, and re-released versions of the best missions in Destiny history. And best of all, it's all free.

What time is Destiny 2 offline?
Destiny 2 Servers will be offline for over five hours in preparation for the Into the Light update. Downtime begins at the following times in your time zone:
- 4:45 a.m. PDT for the West Coast of North America
- 7:45 a.m. EDT for the East Coast of North America
- 12:45pm BST for the UK
- 1:45 p.m. CEST for Western Europe/Paris
- 8:45pm JST for Tokyo
What time does Destiny 2: Into the Light release?
Destiny 2: Into the Light becomes playable after a maintenance period at the following times:
- 10pm PDT for the West Coast of North America
- 1 p.m. EDT for the East Coast of North America
- 6pm BST for the UK
- 7pm CEST for Western Europe/Paris
- 2 a.m. JST on April 10 in Tokyo
After downloading the 7.3.6 update, which will also be rolled out from the above time, players can start playing the update. That means maintenance will continue for another two hours; During this time, Bungie warns you “may have to wait in line and may experience login issues.”
What's new in Destiny 2: Into the Light?

You'll be able to earn special editions of these guns between April 9 and 2020 Final shapereleased on June 4.
- Destiny 2's first PvP map pack is coming to the game with Into the Light. Bungie showed off all three maps during a livestream on April 2, with one map taking place on a light-infused pyramid that The origin of nightmares raids take place, one taking place in Neomuna and another taking place in Europa.
- Whisper of the Worm and Zero Hour is finally back Destiny 2. Both of these initial Exotic missions will respectively bring their respective guns – Whisper of the Worm and Outbreak Perfected – into the game as craftable weapons.
