Heart Kingdom stans are tearing all the meat off the bones recently Kingdom Hearts IV announcement trailer, pick it out for any and all possible details about Sora’s upcoming adventures. It’s a bit disappointing to go with the hype, like the painful revelation that our big-legged hero doesn’t really have big feet. On the plus side, however, there are some intrepid detective works that have produced some compelling results. A self-proclaimed “Square Enix fangirl” named Audrey “aitaikimochi” Lamsam found the actual apartment in Tokyo that appears to be the basis for the apartment Sora wakes up in the trailer. Currently, its sky-high price tag is causing many to wonder how the keyblade maker pays his rent.
In April 10 reveal trailerSora wakes up in a gorgeous, minimalist apartment that looks more like an Ikea gallery than a keyblade owner’s resting place. The game – or at least the sequence we see in the trailer – is set in a realm known as the Quadratum, closely resembles the city of Tokyo in the real world. So Aitaikimochi, a Twitch streamer and CEO of the company behind the website that sells anime merchandise Aitai Kuji, digging around to see if there’s a real basis for Sora’s apartment. And, to my surprise, she placed Sora in one of Tokyo’s most expensive neighborhoods.
“I can’t believe Sora lives in [fucking] Aoyama in Tokyo, one of the most expensive residential areas in Tokyo,” Aitaikimochi wrote on Twitter.
She is not wrong. In next tweets and a live stream posted on the same day as the announcementAitaikimochi discovered that Sora probably live in South Aoyama and pay about $2000 in rent. It’s not a huge change, but perhaps the more alarming number is: If someone wants to “buy this apartment,” Aitaikimochi said it will cost around $1.2 million.

Since this revelation, fans on social media have been starting to wonder if Sora will pay her rent or If there was a sugar-selling father who financed his heroic lifestyle. Some envy the amenities, including private balcony. The others are care about Sora’s healthbecause it appeared Strelitzia may be forcing he sleeps on a stiff looking couch. A few, myself included, are enjoying the implication that Sora is nowclassically know what life under capitalism would be likewith rising rents and other monetary troubles to deal with — like tax. But the main question on everyone’s mind is simple: How the hell did he afford it?
I guess? He is a master of the keyblade! The whole world owes him for saving their apologetic ass countless times. The least they can do is get him somewhere nice. However, without success, munny quite easily got in Heart Kingdom. I’m sure he just jumped a few mindlessly because of their wallets.
