Diablo Immortal Microtransactions Raised $24 Million in Two Weeks
Diablo Immortal seems to be off to a strong start, as the focus on mobile in the Blizzard franchise generated over $24 million in revenue in its first two weeks.
According to the report of PCGamesN, industry tracking website AppMagic shared some interesting pieces of data about the free-to-play Diablo Immortal along with microtransaction details, including where the US and South Korea spent the most money and the game was downloaded more five million times.
The US accounted for 26% of the total global downloads and 43% of the revenue mentioned earlier. In terms of revenue, Korea comes in second with 23% and Japan is third with 8%.
These impressive numbers have been achieved despite many players upset about Diablo Immortal’s microtransactions. Some players have complained that Immortal’s best loot seems so hard to come by without spending a lot of money, and even then that loot isn’t guaranteed.
