Over 70 original Xbox and Xbox 360 games are now compatible again
Microsoft is making the first additions to Xbox’s backward compatible lineup since the release of the Xbox Series X/S. Over 70 new games are playable on Xbox One and Series consoles, including more 20 titles from the original Xbox are 20 years old today.
Current-generation Xbox owners can now enjoy the full FEAR, Skate, and Max Payne franchise on modern hardware, while some new additions and existing back-compat games are getting FPS Boost.

These games and many more can be played today whether you own the game physically or digitally. Of the newly added games, 11 have FPS Boost enabled with FEAR, FEAR 3, Binary Domain and NIER as indicated by Microsoft. Additionally, 26 other playable titles will receive FPS upgrades, including Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Dragon Age: Origins, Dead Space 2 and 3, Alan Wake, and Sonic Generations.
Also announced during today’s Xbox 20 Anniversary showcase, Halo Infinite Multiplayer Available Now, and first trailer for Paramount + Halo series coming next year.
