Techland has released a new trailer detailing the game modes in the PlayStation 5 version of Dying Light 2 Stay Human.
As usual for PS5 games at the end of the year, there are three modes: performance, quality and resolution. Each option gives players a different gameplay presentation, but all three look great based on the trailer released today.
Quality mode with Ray Tracing, as it’s called, gives you exactly what you’d expect there, a high resolution mode that prioritizes Ray Tracing over performance. While there’s no official word, this mode seems to be 60 FPS to us, or at least 30 FPS higher.
As the name implies, Resolution mode maintains a 4K image all over. It’s the most visually stunning mode based on the trailer, and again, it doesn’t appear to be 30 FPS. Although, without any official word, it most likely is. This is just a trailer after all, and while it does showcase the gameplay, we won’t know how these modes work until the game is in our hands.
Finally, Performance mode is the mode we suspect a lot of players would use in a parkour and action first person game. The trailer describes it as “60 FPS or more”, so it looks like the mode prioritizes maintaining 60 FPS, with the possibility of achieving an even higher fps.
In other news, Techland has also announced that the cross-platform and cross-console co-op game in Dying Light 2 won’t be available at launch on February 4th. However, if you buy one. PS4 or Xbox One version and want to upgrade to their version. Current generation partners do so for free.
