Via Barry Holbrook: Top Rank promoter Bob Arum says Eddie Hearn can’t keep his mouth shut when it comes to his fighters, especially the upcoming April 23 title fight between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium .
Hearn has said there are a lot of issues with the event and he said on Thursday that he’s not sure if a fight between Fury and Whyte will take place. He thinks it’s very likely to happen, but he’s still not sure.
No wonder Arum didn’t like the way Hearn talked about his events as he said he would never do it for one of his events.
To be fair to Hearn, he’s talking about the Fury-Whyte fight because he works with Whyte and he’s very interested in doing a Anthony Joshua vs Fury bout in late 2022 or in 2023 .
In every interview, Hearn is asked by the media for his thoughts on the Fury vs. Whyte, so naturally, he will engage in his honest thoughts.
If the showdown didn’t happen between WBC heavyweight champion Fury (31-0-1, 22 KOs) and Whyte (28-2, 19 KOs), it would be a huge disappointment for more than just the boxers. but also for boxing fans.
They want to see the match, not because it’s the best that can be made, but because it’s an interesting matchup that will relate to what happens later this year.

“It’s not like he hurt us. Now, he says we banned him from the fight. We only ban him if he doesn’t have a ticket. If he has a ticket, he can go. He will bring Whyte’s [spit] bucket, he said, so he could join the fight. What kind of madness is that?
“Come on, is there a secondary market, etc. or if he calls me up, you don’t think I’ll buy him a ticket?” Arum said when told that ticket sold out for the Fury-Whyte match on April 23 at Wembley Stadium in London.
“Eddie’s Father” [Barry] is a dear friend of mine. We have worked together for many years. We had many dinners together. Eddie is a kid compared to me. Arum said.
