Elden Ring: From software that solves performance issues in new release date announcement
Elden Ring is doing great – its Steam count is almost six times bigger from From Software’s previous all-time high – but some players have criticized the game’s performance, especially on PC.
From Software has released a release date message specifically addresses performance issues some people are experiencing in Elden Ring, and it looks like some fixes may be on the way soon. The message addresses issues that occur on the console versions of the game and its PC versions as well.
“We are currently experiencing an issue that prevents the game from playing properly under certain conditions,” the announcement read. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your patience.”
Here are the main issues that will be addressed in future updates:
- About the problem of the mouse being too sensitive in the PC version: We will be submitting a patch for this issue in the near future.
- Regarding the issue of Easy Anti-Cheat not launching when Steam account name is set to 2 byte character: We are aware of the cause of this issue and will provide a patch in the near future.
- About frame rate and other performance related issues during gameplay: We’re constantly working on improving the game so it can be played comfortably across a variety of PC environments and platforms – for the PC version, updating your graphics card driver to The latest version can significantly improve performance.
- About the phenomenon of game data not saving in the PlayStation 5 version: If the PS5 console is turned off unexpectedly while playing a game or in sleep mode, the saved data may not be saved correctly. We already know the cause of this issue and are working on a patch to fix it, but until the patch is released please save your game by manually exiting the game usually. often. Game data will be saved correctly if you exit the game by opening the system menu with the OPTION button and selecting “Exit Game”.
From Software writes: “We are also working on a number of other bug fixes and performance improvements as needed. “Please contact our support team if you experience other issues.”
