End of 2023 Team of the Year on Quality Road for $200,000
Quality Sugar will lead the herd at Lane’s End stables for the 2023 breeding season, for $200,000. Up from $150,000 in 2022, this 16-year-old is responsible for the winner of the GI New York S. In 2022, Bleecker Street, GII Rebel S. Ethereal Road runner-up, GI American pharoah S. National Treasure runner-up, as well as three ‘TDN Rising Stars.’ In the sales round, he had seven aspirants delivering seven figures at Keeneland’s September 2022 Sales, including a $2.5 million colt figure that topped sales.
At $75,000, the same fee he pays in 2022, Candy Ride (Arg) continues to command the farm’s second highest fee.
First year stallion City of lightrepresented by the three black category winners from his first case, standing next to his male Quality Sugar and held steady at $60,000. Top 10 North American Freshman Breeds by Income, City of light selected eight winners, including GI runner-up Darley Alcibiades S. and GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies ahead of Chop Chop.
