Every match at the event
Although it may feel like Kinda FunBlessing Adeoye Jr. is talking at 1.75x speed about upcoming games and world premieres, Disney and Marvel’s D23 Streaming Event managed to show several games that are more than just cinematic trailers. Here’s everything we’ve seen at Disney and Marvel’s Expo D23 Expo, sorted in order of whether or not they actually play the game.
Marvel’s Midnight Sun
Hey, looks like Marvel’s Midnight Sun there is a new release date. Seeing as it was originally slated for a March release before being delayed (twice), it’s great to see that it arrives on December 2nd for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. We also had our eye on a nice animated short with scenes like Blade and Wolverine tearing apart. Now I hear that this game has some kind of important romance mechanics along with it being Marvel’s answer to XCOM by becoming XCOMso I will be very interested in the career of this game.

Humble Bundle 2K Megahits Game Bundle for Covenant House
Provide housing and supportive services to youth facing homelessness
An array of games from 2K have been bundled together. You can pay what you want to support the cause, but if you want access to some of the big hits like Borderlands 3, The Bioshock Collection, XCOM: The Ultimate Collection, and Sid Meier’s Civilizatrion VI, you’ll have to pay at least $16. But hey, that’s hardly anything compared to the $663 value you’re getting from all 18 games combined.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Hope you aren’t tired of hearing about Avatar (the blue people one) in 2022, because Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora showed off a new trailer demonstrating how you can create your own Na’vi and participate in a Call of Duty-esque deathmatch with your ponytailed comrades.
Avatar: Reckoning
While Avatar: Reckoning isn’t necessarily a new game, we did get to see some new gameplay during D23 Expo. Its D23 trailer described the game as an action-packed MMORPG shooter you can play in the palm of my hand, so if you’re in the market for that, this game might be up your alley.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Galactic Edition
More Star Wars characters are coming to Lego game near you because TT Games announced that they are adding 30 new playable characters Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga in its new Galactic version. The Galactic Edition will include six character packs (which run you $6 a pop-up). They will include Cassian Andor, Refurbished , Captain Rex and more familiar faces. Marvel Snap
If you want your own Hearthstone With Marvel characters in mind, the unmistakable voice of Awkwafina just answered your prayers with an announcement Marvel Snapa strategy game for mobile phones.
Illusion Island
Fan The wonderful world of Mickey Mouse Those who longed for a platformer with Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Minnie are getting it. The game looks like a lot of fun, especially with the ability to play cooperatively with your friends.
Back to Monkey Island
Monkey islandThe latest trailer is accompanied by the voice (and face) of Dominic Armato, the voice behind Guybrush Threepwood. The trailer for the classic LucasArts adventure series features new art styles, soundtracks and a Nathan Drake-esque diary for you to document your time at sea and relive the adventures. in previous games. Monkey island launches September 19 for PC and Nintendo Switch.
Disney Dreamlight Valley
Dreamlight Valley, Disney’s (extremely good) reception Muleis expanding with toys from Toy Story. I have to admit, climbing around Andy’s room with Buzz and Woody sounds pretty cool, but I was distracted by Mr. Lightyear flirting with Ursula in the trailer. Jessie won’t like that, spaceman. You pocket.
Disney Speedstorm
Okay, I know the game has become flooded with franchises that don’t know what to do with their IP and settle for being a kart racer, but Disney Speedstorm looks a bit exaggerated. Mickey Mouse Tokyo drifts around Sully from Monsters Inc. can check someone’s group list. If you want a release date, it doesn’t have one, but it listed one website where you can subscribe to updates and game wishlists on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Disney Mirrorverse
Disney takes the phrase “sometimes good and sometimes bad” to the heart with its new trailer for Mirrorverse, its mobile RPG. The trailer features fan-favorite villains like Ursula (hello again), Hades, Oogie Boogie, and Scar battling hordes of monsters.
Marvel Strike Force
Marvel Strike Forcea 2018 turn-based RPG for mobile, featuring a brand new trailer in which all the Hulks, red or otherwise, are stepping into a mud pit Atrocious. Rest in peace, my boy.
New Black Panther / Captain America game
What’s better than a Captain America or one Black Panther game? A game in which the two of them defeat the Nazis in World War II. To make things even sweeter, the game is being Not discovered yet writer Amy Hennig. While the trailer has stripped down the gameplay to refer to the Easter egg, the concept behind the game is certainly promising. It also answered the nagging question in my mind as to whether Cap’s politics were “of the times” given America’s affections for my ferocious brother. Respect.
Aliens: Dark Descent
If you are one of those people who forget that Disney technically owns Alien franchise, hello, hello, it has and it is working on a new game called Aliens: Dark Descent. It’s a team-based RTS strategy action game in Alien spaceship, and it looks like you’re guiding your squadron of marines inside the narrow corridors of a derelict spaceship while exploding xenomorphs.
Marvel Heroes World
Looks like Marvel has seen what Niantic is doing with Pokémon Go and said that Marvel fans should pause Twitter and go outside. Huzzah. Marvel Heroes World is an AR mobile game in which you can pause touching the grass to pull out Dr. Strange’s Bracelet and patrol your neighborhood for scum and evil. Be careful not to get caught. The gamer has a bad rap like it is right now.
Tron: Identity
Imma admits, I was born in 96 so I didn’t know what this was until KotakuZack Zwiezen drew attention in the opening seconds of this trailer by typing “TRON” into our Slack channel. So it looks like we have a Tron games in Tron: Identity. Obviously it’s a visual novel. It has a nice typeface.
And that’s all they showed in this rather light-hearted 23-minute demo. Is there anything of particular interest to you?
