There’s a new, mysterious Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet – creatures that people have called Paradox Pokémon. They are monsters that exist in both the past and the future, drawn to the present by vague means. They aren’t exactly Legendary Pokémon like in previous games, but they only appear after you complete the main story for the game. scarlet and Violet.
Great Tusk and Iron Treads, ground-type Donphan riffs, are the first Paradox Pokemon disclosure; they correspond to scarlet and Violet Pokémon Company developer revealed. Players took a look at the Paradox creatures prior to the game’s release, leaving the rest a mystery – at least until the leaks started rolling out. You’ll hear the whispers of these Pokémon throughout the game, but you won’t learn more until the end of the game. Please explain.

What is a Paradox Pokémon?
Paradoxical Pokémon are Pokémon that are pulled from the past and future through a time machine, entering Paldea and hanging around in the cloudy Area Zero in the middle of the map. While some of these Pokémon may look like creatures you know and love, they’re brand new and not just regional variations.
Paradoxically different Pokémon in both scarlet and Violet – ancient gazes found in scarletand future people in Violet. For example, if you already have scarletyou will have to deal with a Violet player to obtain Paradox Pokémon that are exclusive to that game.
This is the paradoxical Pokémon you will find in scarlet:
- Great Tusk (a relative of Donphan)
- Brute Bonnet (relative of the Amoonguss)
- Sandy Shocks (Magneton’s relative)
- Scream Tail (relative to Jigglypuff)
- Vibrating mane (relative to Misdreavus)
- Slither Wing (relative to Volcarona)
- Roaring Moon (relative to Salamence)
- Koraidon (relative to Cyclizar)
And the paradoxical Pokémon in Violet:
- Iron Treads (relative to Donphan)
- Iron Moth (a relative of Volcarona)
- Iron Hands (relative to Hariyama)
- Iron Jugulis (relative of Hydreigon)
- Iron Thorns (relative to Tyranitar)
- Iron Bundle (relative of Delibird)
- Iron Valiant (a relative of Gardevoir/Gallade)
- Miraidon (relative to Cyclizar)
What’s so special about Paradox Pokémon?
Well, they look great. Look at Scream Tail. It was a Jigglypuff with glowing eyes and a sickly hairstyle.
Aside from aesthetics, the Paradox Pokémon is quite powerful, most with a base stat of 570. The two Paradox Pokémon, Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant, have a total base stats of 590. For context, Koraidon and Miraidon – two marquee legends respectively for scarlet and Violet — has a total base stats of 670.
Paradox Pokémon in scarlet has a new signature ability called Protosynthesis, which boosts its highest stats under intense sunlight or keeps Energy boosted. Paradoxical creature in Violet has the Quark Drive ability, which boosts its peak stats when the electric terrain is active or with a Pokémon holding Booster Energy.
The exceptions here are Koraidon and Miraidon, which have the Orichalcum Pulse and Hadron Engine abilities. The former puts harsh sunlight on the field for five turns, while the latter does the same with the Electric Terrain.
When can I use Koraidon and Miraidon in battle?
You will receive one of these paradoxical Pokémon at the start of the game, depending on whether you choose scarlet or Violet. (I repeat, it’s Koraidon for scarlet and Miraidon for Violet.) You cannot catch them exactly in Area 0 — with one exception. But once you’ve reached Area 0 and near the end of the story, you’ll be battling the wild Koraidon/Miraidon — and your own Pokémon will regain the strength to fight it.
You can then use Koraidon or Miraidon just like any other Pokémon, except it doesn’t live in your Poké Ball or box. You’ll need to change it from driving mode to battle mode by clicking it in the team’s squad screen — after clicking it, you’ll be asked if you want it to go into battle mode. . It will be removed from your active group once you re-drive.
Once you gain in-game credits, you can go back to Area Zero and fight the same Pokémon again – all at the bottom of Zone Zero. You can do this battle only once. It’s handy to have a second Koraidon or Miraidon if you don’t want to constantly switch from riding mode to battle mode.
How to catch the Paradox Pokémon in bright red and Violet?
With the exception of Koraidon and Miraidon, which are given to you at the start of the game, Paradox Pokémon can be found and caught in Area Zero of Paldea — but only after complete the main plot. All of these Pokémon can be found in Area 0, all over and its various sub-zones with levels in the 50s.
Unlike Legendary Pokémon, you can catch many of these Pokémon, but know this: They to be harder to catch than regular Pokémon. We recommend going out with Ultra Balls, along with a group of Pokémon that can paralyze or put Paradox creatures to sleep. (Inducing such status conditions on a wild Pokémon makes it easier to catch that Pokémon.) Found your kids really like? Maybe it’s worth a Master Ball.
Each of these Pokémon has locations where they are more commonly found in Area Zero, but two Pokémon, Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant, are only available at one specific point: a cave between the second research station and Tuesday. Area zero isn’t huge, so if you wander around a lot, you’re sure to come across each of these Pokémon.
