Explore the history and appearance of Halo 3 | Video games
Happy New Year! Part 2 of Game informantVideo Gameography’s podcast examines one of the biggest shooting series in existence: Halo. This week, we unpack Bungie’s epic conclusion to the original Master Chief adventure trilogy: Halo 3.
Released to all the hype around the world on September 25, 2007, Halo 3 is both the culmination of the series and its supposed swan song for Master Chief. Using the now iconic tagline “end the war,” Bungie created Halo 3 under the agreement that they would part ways with Microsoft after a new set of Halo games. The third game was the first of this batch, and its creation was met with internal conflicts within the studio, including the creative heads who were in mid-development. How did Bungie deal with the Halo 2 quality, transition to the new platform in Xbox 360, and come to the expected conclusion? Tune in to find out.
Join host Ben Reeves (@BenjaminReeves), Marcus Stewart (@MarcusStewart7), and Game informant video editor Alex Stadnik (@ Studnik76) as we unpack the history and impact of Master Chief’s great sequel. And for more Halo, be sure to check it out ratings of every Halo game.
