Final Fantasy XVI News Coming in Spring 2022
Final Fantasy XVI producer Naoki Yoshida took to Twitter to announce the game’s development. Citing COVID-19 issues, including how remote working has affected important aspects of the game’s development, Yoshida explained that news of the title has been dropped. delayed this year and will be slated for spring 2022.
Since the year is almost over, it’s not surprising that this news falls in 2021, and a lot of games around the world have been delayed or affected by COVID-19 to varying degrees. You can check out the full text of the message right here in the Tweet below!
Final Fantasy XVI has great expectations behind it, as do any numbered titles in the main Final Fantasy series, and what we’ve seen so far has been very brief. We know it must have an “expanding” skill tree. While there’s a lot to learn if you want to super-analyze the tiny bits of a trailer, the proper drop in information hasn’t happened yet.
