Ford Everest 2022: Detailed path
Ford has a brand new ending Ford Everest 2022and we had the opportunity to get up close and personal with Ford’s large seven-seat SUV at a new facility on Ford’s Melbourne-based demonstration campus.
We’ve covered all the finer details in Ford Everest: Everything you need to know and there are some new Everest related news below.
However, what will the all-new Ford Everest look like? One of the first things I noticed when standing next to the car was that it felt ‘bulky’. It looks wider at the bottom and top edges and feels clearer when viewed directly.
Just like brand new Ford Ranger, the use of C-clamp LED daytime running lights continues and there is a range of headlamp options available. This includes matrix LED headlights allows the vehicle to ride at a high altitude without blinding other drivers.
I really like the look of the sweeping LED taillights. The translucent lens runs from the camera body to a panel attached to the rear door.
The tailgate also has a clear plastic layer over it that says ‘Everest’ or ‘Platinum’ depending on the specs you’re running on.
At the front, the Platinum also looks striking with brushed aluminum highlights and a 3D-effect waterfall grille.
The larger mouth at the front is designed for additional cooling and increases brake drag by 3500kg.
Inside the cabin, the Platinum actually looks a bit like part of it, with perforated wood trim along the dashboard and doors, while the center of the cabin has Ford’s large vertical 12-inch display with Sync4 connectivity.
While we didn’t get a chance to drive the car properly and the one we did spend some time using was a pre-production car, the signs are positive. It’s like a big step up from the last Everest and we can’t wait to get behind the wheel down the track.
