Freshman Sire Romanizes Off The Mark at Tarbes

Residents of Haras de Bóveot Romanization (Ire) (Holy Roman Emperor {Ire}) has become the latest European first crop sire to achieve success with his Philippe Sogorb-trained son O Sole Mio (Fr) shed her maiden status at first claim over five and a half furlongs in Saturday morning's Prix Jacques Boutier at Tarbes.

O SOLE MIO (FR) (c, 2, Romanization {Ire}–Vera Blue {Ire}, by Intello {Ger}) breaking strongly from the outside gate and tracking the better-placed rivals in third place until just over the halfway mark in this debut. Shaking past the quarter-mile marker, the 37-5 chance pushed ahead entering the final furlong and went out to neck Keanu's (Fr) late push (Show {GB }). O Sole Mio is the only foal believed to have been sired by Listed Prix winning daughter Madame Jean Couturie and Listed Prix runner-up Vulcain Venturous Spirit (Fr) (Arch).
