From the upside down to the pogo stick, the Guinness World Record is broken
From an upside down gymnast to a man pulling a cart while walking, this year’s Guinness World Records Day is as colorful as ever.
Talent from around the world broke all kinds of records for the eighteenth annual GWR Day on Wednesday. “If you want to be a Guinness World Record holder, go for it,” says Ashley Watson, 29.
The British gymnast broke his own record for the furthest back slide between two bars as he attempted to propel himself 6 meters (19.7 feet) in the air. “Find out what you’re really good at, see what the record is, train for it,” he said.
Meanwhile in China – balancing in his hand – Zhang Shuang pulled a car 50 meters in just 1 minute 13.27 seconds.
Overjoyed and cheering after breaking his record, he revealed: “The skill lies in having a very strong waist and abs, and good endurance in your triceps, arms and shoulders. ”
Other winners include American Tyler Phillips, who broke the record for consecutive cars jumping over pogo sticks, and Takahiro Ikeda from Japan, who managed 45 BMX time machines in 30 seconds.
Meanwhile, Laura Biondo, 32, from Venezuela has won several certifications in her possession, including a one-minute “around the world” double ball control technique that a female achieved. Okay.
Craig Glenday, editor-in-chief of the Guinness Book of World Records, said that they were “blown away by the incredible talent and show of strength from our new record holders.”
“Guinness World Records Day is a global celebration of breaking records. It is an opportunity for those who want to put their name in the famous Guinness book of world records,” he said.
