Goggles On for privacy, Punjab conjoined twins make separate votes
Sohna and Mohna, conjoined twins from Amritsar who took up the state government job last year, were among the first voters to cast their ballots as voting begins on 117 seats in Punjab today .
Pictures shared by the ANI news agency showed officials greeting the conjoined twins as they arrived at the polls in Amritsar.
Since Sohna and Mohna were two separate voters, special arrangements were made to ensure secrecy between the conjoined twins.

The RO arranged for the voter registration. they wear goggles to keep the voting secret,” said Gaurav Kumar, PRO, quoted by ANI news agency.
Sohna and Mohna work for Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL).
Sohna, 19, took the job and started working on December 20, 2021. He and Mohna look after the electrical equipment at PSPCL, an official said.
“Sohna, Mohna helps us look after the electrical equipment here. Sohna took the job and Mohna also helped,” Ravinder Kumar, Jr Substation Engineer, PSPCL, said earlier.
These twins were born in New Delhi on June 14, 2003 with two hearts, arms, kidneys and spinal cord, but share a liver, gallbladder and legs. After their birth, Sohna and Mohana were abandoned by their parents and taken to Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences. The doctors at AIIMS decided not to separate them because the surgery could cause fatal complications.
