In many ways, Season 1 of HBO’s prequel to the landmark fantasy drama Game of Thrones feels like a prelude to what’s to come. Let’s save for the final three seasons, each episode giving fans a jolt of time to reveal key moments that appeared in episode 10 and the final episode. Now that the stage has been set for Dance of the Dragons — the fight we’ve been waiting for — we’re wondering what lies ahead for House Targaryen, Hightower, Velaryon, and the rest of Westeros. .

Who told Daemon about Lucerys’ death?
Luke’s Shocking Death in the final moments of the season finale is likely to serve as setting up everything we’ll see in Season 2. His mother Queen Rhaenyra’s most valuable asset is maintaining her composure. . But when she learned of the death of her second son—at the hands (and teeth) of her half-brother, Aemond Targaryen, and his dragon Vhagar—Rhaenyra erupted in boiling anger. inside her, a reaction that overshadowed all the pain she’d been through up until that moment.
Who brought her tragic news? None other than her uncle-in-law, Prince Daemon Targaryen. But when Daemon steps into his wife’s council to share the news, we can’t help but wonder how Daemon learned of his stepchild’s death, not to mention the harrowing circumstances of his death. . Does Aemond own what happens in the sky in Storm’s End? And knowing how eager Daemon is to send the kingdom into war, fire dragons, and all that, we’re anxious to find out why Daemon learned of Luke’s death so quickly.
Who will pay for Luke’s death?
It goes without saying that Season 2 will bring some form of retribution for Luke’s death. But revenge takes many forms in Westeros. While it’s clear that war is on King’s Landing’s doorstep, how Rhaenyra will choose to avenge her son’s death is another matter entirely. King’s Landing is better prepared for the war that will come in Part 2. Lord Corlys Velaryon has a good plan to cut King’s Landing from the rest of Westeros. Not long after making such a keen observation, we find Daemon in the caves of Dragonstone singing a little dull, what’s more, an unclaimed dragon.
Who is this beast? HBO has since confirmed via Twitter This is Vermithor. A formidable being, Vermithor was originally the mount of King Jaehaerys Targaryen. Bringing the creature to herself could give Rhaenyra even more legitimacy as Queen, which is what Otto Hightower—The Hand to her late father was King Viserys, the father of her childhood friend, Queen Alicent, the grandfather of King Aegon II, and famous usurper — spurred her on in the season finale. So who will ride Vermithor? Only time will answer.
Would Rhaenyra tell anyone else about the Song of Ice and Fire?
Queen Rhaenyra’s legitimate claim to the Iron Throne did not end with having the name of her father’s true successor made public in front of the kingdom’s dignitaries. Her knowledge of Song of Ice and Fireprophecy foretold opens in Game of Thrones, is the biggest responsibility she shouldered as a sovereign. In the season finale, Rhaenyra arrives therefore almost told Prince Daemon about the prophecy her late father, King Viserys, had entrusted to her.
Rhaenyra both kept this secret and understanding what it meant was enough to encourage her to take back what was rightfully hers. But if she doesn’t regain the throne in time, will she reveal the secret of the Song of Ice and Fire to anyone else? Or whether the knowledge of the prophecy will end with her until it is pushed back more than 100 years later in Game of Thrones?
Will we see more families from the Seven Kingdoms?
Part of what was created Dragon’s House What worked so well in its first season was the politics that took place between the three main clans: the Targaryens, the Hightowers, and the Velaryons. Over the course of the season, however, we’ve seen the houses of Baratheon, Arryn, Stark, and Lannister. Now that the Hightowers and Targaryens are rallying their allies and preparing for war, we have a sense of the extent of Dragon’s House will expand on the past Dragonstone and King’s Landing. Whether it’s the sequel or in the sequels, we’ll be taking a journey north to visit the Starks and likely see more important characters join the fray.
What’s with the gem in Aemond’s eye?
I don’t know about you, but I feel sorry for the sparkling blue stone that was once held in place by Aemond’s left eyeball. It is sky blue; it’s shiny; it’s for White Walker. Maybe I’m reading too much into Aemond’s eye socket jewelry choices. But coming from a family known by their house color, “the Greens,” didn’t Aemond go with an emerald? Every detail in the Westeros world is scrutinized and that gem will stay in my mind until we fly back to Westeros for the second season.
