How to Factory-Reset Your Phone Before You Sell It
If you are using iOS 14 or below, go to Setting and tap your name, then tap find me And off Find My Iphone. Clap Apple ID at the top left, go back and scroll to the bottom to tap Log out. You will have to enter your password and press Log out again.
Now you are ready to wipe your iPhone. Go Settings > General and scroll down Transfer or Reset iPhone. Clap Erase all content and settings. You will be asked to confirm and it may take a few minutes to complete the process.
How to factory reset your Android phone
Start with backup your android phone, then remove any MicroSD cards and your SIM cards. Remember to use backup functionality in specific apps (like WhatsApp) and transcode from apps like Google Authenticator.
Android has an anti-theft measure called Factory Reset Protection (FRP). That means even after wiping your Android phone, you’ll still need the last Google account login to set it up again. It should only work if you use recovery menu to wipe your phone, but here’s how to turn off FRP. Delete your Google account (we recommend deleting all your accounts at once). You can do this in Setting By typing Passwords and Accounts. Select each one in turn and tap Delete account.
You can now wipe your Android phone, but the process is a little different depending on your phone’s manufacturer. On a Google Pixelsfor example, go to Settings > System > Reset options > Erase all data (factory reset) > Erase all data (you will need to enter your PIN). On a SamsungGalaxy S23go Settings > General Management > Resetand choose Factory data reset. Scroll to the bottom and tap ResetLater Remove all (you may need to enter your Samsung account details).
