HUL Q3 Profit increased 18.68% to Rs 2,300; Net Revenue Up 10.25%

Major FMCG group Hindustan Unilever Ltd on Thursday reported a 18.68% increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 2,300 crore for the third quarter ending December 2021.
The company posted a net profit of Rs 1,938 crore for the October-December period of the previous financial year.
Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) said revenue from sales for the quarter under consideration stood at 13,196 crore, up 10.25%, compared with 11,969 crore in the same period a year ago.
Total cost of HUL stood at Rs 10,329 crore in Q3/FY2021-22 compared to Rs 10,129 previously.
“Business fundamentals remain solid with significant market share gains across all of our segments, both urban and rural markets and across price segments. Mass growth. Basic volume at 2% has significantly led the market,” HUL said in a post-earnings report.
HUL CMD Sanjiv Mehta said the company had strong and sustained operating results this quarter despite moderate market growth and substantial commodity inflation.
“I am especially excited for the growth to be extremely competitive with our market share growth being the highest in over a decade,” he said.
However, he added that in the short term, the operating environment will continue to be challenging.
“In this scenario, we would manage our business agilely, continue to grow our consumer franchise while maintaining a stable profit margin. confident about the medium and long term potential of the Indian FMCG sector and HUL’s ability to deliver a Competitive, Profitable and Responsible Growth”, added Mehta.
Shares of HUL on Thursday traded at Rs 2,261.60 on the BSE, down 2.13% from the previous close.
