IND vs NZ: India register their biggest win by running in trials after beating New Zealand in Mumbai
India ended New Zealand’s 10-match unbeaten streak in Test cricket when they beat the World Test champions with 372 runs at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday. The 372-run win is India’s biggest gap win in terms of runs in the game’s longest format. The Virat Kohli-led team won the two-match Test series 1-0 for India to win the 14th consecutive Test series at home. Mayank Agarwal was player of the match with 150 runs in the first inning and 62 kills in the second.

Ravichandran Ashwin was the player of this series with his best 14 times in 2 Tests. The off-spinner player also hit several milestones in the two-match streak.
After taking Henry Nicholls’ last bat, he became the second pitcher after Anil Kumble to win 300 in the Test while competing in India. Ashwin currently has 300 test wicks on Indian soil while Kumble leads the tally with 350 wicks.
New Zealand may have lost the game but the match will be remembered with Ajaz Patel’s heroic tackles.

The off-spinner picked all 10 Indians to drop in the first innings and became the third pitcher to do so after Anil Kumble (1999) and Jim Laker (1956).
However, the struggle for New Zealand to win the India Test series continued, they failed in all 12 attempts. They last won a Test match in India in 1988 at Wankhede but never won a Test match in India.
