India vs New Zealand, 3rd T20I XI prediction: India has the ability to experiment with the series already in the pocket
Team India captained by Rohit Sharma will be looking to end the series on a high and ensure the series vindicates New Zealand at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday. The team leadership could also look towards the bench and make a few changes to the sealed series. Top performers like KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant and Ravichandran Ashwin could also get a much-needed break from a hectic schedule that has seen them play an all-out tour of England, the second stage of the 2021 Indian Premier League in the UAE, World Cup T20 followed by the series taking place at home. Inaugural athlete Ruturaj Gaikwad could make his India debut alongside driver Avesh Khan. Both players performed brilliantly for their respective brands at IPL 2021.
Ruturaj Gaikwad: The right-handed hitter has received rave reviews after some great performances for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Steady starts have earned him a spot in the India team and now he could be awarded an international debut in the third T20I.
Rohit Sharma: Rohit carried out the charge as India’s full-time T20I captain, winning both throws and then finishing the game. He also showed good form in his first win as captain of the national team.
Suryakumar Yadav: Suryakumar had a rare defeat in the second game but that shouldn’t bother him too much. Known for his consistency, Suryakumar is expected to move on and regain the feeling he showed in the first match.
Ishan Kishan: Kishan could take Pant’s place in the final match as the latter has played non-stop cricket this season. A much-needed break could provide a good opportunity for Kishan, who showed what he can do in the early stages of the T20 World Cup.
Shreyas Iyer: Iyer has so far been unable to dominate after making a heart-stopping cut due to a hip injury. However, team management could stick with the former Delhi Capitals (DC) captain to convey some of the confidence that was missing in Iyer’s batting.
Venkatesh Iyer: Venkatesh is still early in his international career and coach Rahul Dravid wants to give him a full series and test him out in Kolkata. He showed signs of aggression from the get-go in both games but has yet to make a major contribution. His bowling prowess could be shown in the final match.
Axar Patel: Axar has the spell of a wicket in four passes with 26 runs, full of confidence and agility. He plays tight balls and lengths and makes hitters think twice before jumping off the track. He also intelligently transforms his speed throughout the spell.
Yuzvendra Chahal: Chahal has been out of favor for a long time and despite being one of India’s best T20I pitchers, Chahal finds himself warming up the bench. Chahal can have a huge part to play with long boundaries in Eden Garden.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar: Bhuvneshwar is back from a bad T20 World Cup 2021 tournament and has shown glimpses of reaching his best form. He swung the ball both ways and made it difficult for the batters in his power persuasion.

Avesh Khan: Avesh may be launched in India after a stellar performance in the IPL for Delhi Capitals. With Deepak Chahar failing to impress in both matches so far, Avesh can expect his first game for the national team to be in Kolkata.
Harshal Patel: Harshal took no time to adapt to international cricket after finishing as a Purple Hat holder in IPL 2021 with 32 players. He won player of the match in Ranchi and is expected to make it into the final team of the tournament again.
