Jermell Charlo demonstrates broken hand, creates doctor’s note
Via Craig Daly: Jermell Charlo released a doctor’s note today to prove that he broke his left arm, which left him unable to defend his undisputed middleweight championship against WBO mandatory Tim Tszyu on January 28.
Fans went after Charlo today, saying he fake his broken left hand to escape as his title reign crashed over his head when knocked down by powerful opponent Tszyu (21-0, 15 KOs) who has the power to knock out any anyone in the department.
While it was good that Jermell was able to present a doctor’s note, he was unable to produce an X-ray to further prove his injury. X-rays would be more convincing evidence to show fans a short doctor’s note.
A picture is worth a thousand words, and Jermell should have asked the doctor to take an X-ray of him so he could post it as final proof that he wasn’t pretending to get out of the fight. brutal against Tszyu.
Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KOs) refutes the notion that he will deliberately withdraw from a fight and that he has never done anything like it in his 37-match career. me.
37 fights never had to be postponed. I will never back down from any man. I am the King of 154. This is not a mental health issue, this is not a sling you can buy at the pharmacy like Castano did. I will come back and give my supporters 2 battles this year. Stay tuned. pic.twitter.com/m6wc8s5p1A

Charlo fighting twice in 20232 is hard to believe as he will be incapacitated for a while.
Let’s do the math:
- cast = 2 months
- Rehabilitation = 2 months
- Training camp = 3 months
We’re talking a total of seven months before Jermell is ready to fight Tszyu in the summer. By the time Jermell fights Tszyu, the year will be more than half past, making a slip in the second battle in 2023 almost impossible.
If he were to fight someone as talented as Sebastian ‘Hell Towering’ Fundorahe’ll need a long camp to prepare for the 6’5 1/2″ tall WBC interim champion 154 lb.
If your Tszyu, it’s imperative that he’s busy battling one of the top contenders in preparation for the summer game against Jermell.
Tony Harrison volunteered to fight Tszyu, and he was an ideal opponent.
Tszyu shouldn’t sit around for another seven months waiting for Charlo without a fight because he’s been out of the ring for nine months.
It only made sense for Tszyu not to fight if he wasn’t sure if he could defeat someone like Harrison. If Tszyu has any doubts as to whether he can get the job done against Harrison, he can either sit back and wait for Charlo or get a freeloader below.
