Jesse Marsch out, Domenico Tedesco in RB Leipzig
RB Leipzig appointed Domenico Tedesco as the club’s new coach, four days after the departure of American Jesse Marsch.
Tedesco, 36, who has coached Schalke and Spartak Moscow, has signed a contract until 2023 and will be on the bench for Saturday’s home game against Borussia Moenchengladbach.

Was a youth team coach at Hoffenheim and Stuttgart, Italian-born Tedesco has limited playing experience in the Bundesliga, having spent less than two seasons at Schalke. He left Spartak earlier this year.
Marsch and Leipzig “Both sides agree to break up” after the club suffered a 1-2 defeat to Union Berlin last week, their third consecutive loss leaves them 11th in the standings.
Leipzig, despite missing out on the knockout stages of the Champions League, secured a Europa League spot with a 2-1 win over City of Manchester, with Marsch’s assistant director Achim Beierlorzer temporarily at the helm.
Marsch took over at Leipzig four months ago after former head coach Julian Nagelsmann left to join Bayern Munich.
Under Nagelsmann, Leipzig reached the semi-finals of the 2020 Champions League and runner-up in the Bundesliga last season, but lost six of their opening 14 matches under the 48-year-old American manager.
