JJ Watt’s tweets at the Arizona Cardinals, he’ll be playing a few days after the heart procedure
CHARLOTTE, NC — The Arizona Cardinals line of defense JJ Watt tweeted on Sunday, hours before he was set to take on Carolina Panthersthat he had atrial fibrillation on Wednesday and had to shock his heart again on Thursday.
He sent tweets at 12:14 p.m. ET. Cardinals is set to begin at 4:05 p.m. ET.
Watt, who is in his second season with the Cardinals, said he’ll play Carolina. He was not among the inactive players announced by the Cardinals before the game.
I have just been told someone has leaked some personal information about me and it will be reported today.
I went to A-Fib on Wednesday, my heart skipped a beat on Thursday and I’m playing today.

He said he tweeted the information because news of his heart condition and procedure had leaked.
Watt missed practice Wednesday and Thursday because of what the Cardinals listed as “calf/sick” in their injury reports.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, atrial fibrillation is “an irregular heartbeat that begins in the upper chambers of your heart.”
