J&K Sarpanch was shot and killed by terrorists for the 3rd time in a week
Srinagar:
A Sarpanch or village chief was shot dead by terrorists in the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. Shabir Ahmad Mir, the BJP-affiliated sarpanch, is the third Panchayat member to be killed in the past week.
Two days ago, Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Sarpanch of Khanmoh on the outskirts of Srinagar, was killed by terrorists.
In the past week, there has been an explosion of terrorist attacks across J&K.
On Wednesday, there was an IED attack in the town of Udhampur in the Jammu region, leaving one person dead and 14 others injured.
On Sunday, terrorists threw a grenade into a busy market in Srinagar, killing two people and injuring 38 others.
