Kansas City Chiefs Rule RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire vs Cincinnati Bengals
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Run in reverse Clyde Edwards-Helaire won’t play for Chief of Kansas City in the game on Sunday against Cincinnati Bengals.
The captains announced Edwards-Helaire was out of the game on Saturday and said he was not traveling with the team to Cincinnati.
Edwards-Helaire, who leads the Captain with 517 yards, injured his shoulder in last week’s win Pittsburgh Steelers and didn’t practice all week.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported earlier this week that Edwards-Helaire was considered week after week with a bruised shoulder.
The activated chiefs run again Jerick McKinnon The substitute is injured and he will be available to play against the Bengals. McKinnon was substituted for a hamstring injury.
The chiefs will also have Darrel Williams and Derrick Gore available when running back on Sunday. Williams is the Chiefs’ second-placed driver with 453 yards. Williams is also fourth on the Chiefs with 41 receptions.
Gore was dropped from the training squad at the start of the season. He has 189 yards of dash.
