Katie Taylor Overwhelms Karen Elizabeth Carabajal
Via Vince Dwriter: Six months after her historic win over Amanda Serrano at Madison Square Garden, Katie Taylor is back in the squared circle and she did it impressively by beating Karen Elizabeth Carabajal (19-1, 2 KOs) at Wembley Arena in London, live on DAZN.
Throughout the first half, the arm speed and foot speed advantage Katie Taylor possessed became apparent in a matter of seconds. Taylor was able to use the opening round to establish distance and land some solid shots.
After sensing the necessary proper range, Taylor began to put her punches together, and as a result she won the second round by scoring with sharp combinations. . Karen Elizabeth Carabajal is trying to fulfill her goal, but the undisputed lightweight champion seems to be constantly one step ahead.
Carabajal’s best round was round 4, when she took on Taylor in an interesting exchange between the two fighters. Both Taylor and Carabajal stood in the bag and absorbed the solid blows in the exchange. Despite the fact that Carabajal had a few good moments in the fourth inning, it looked like Taylor did enough to win the round.
The second half of the match was a mirror image of the first half as Taylor continued to show off her skill by rushing forward with pressure and also performing a masterful boxing move with her back foot.
The fight takes place with the sound of a boxing clinic as Taylor demonstrates her ability to control speed and command exchanges.
Karen Elizabeth Carabajal enters the fight as an undefeated fighter, but she has never had the experience of sharing the ring with a fighter of Katie Taylor’s caliber. Carabajal made a brave attempt, but Taylor was too quick and too skilled, and Taylor won the match by unanimous decision as a result.
Katie Taylor (22-0.6 KOs) admits Carabajal was awkward, but she was able to adapt and successfully defend her undisputed lightweight crown. Taylor is poised to bring her talent home to Ireland, but she is not definitive when asked if Amanda Serrano is a rival in her home country.
“Whether it’s Amanda Serrano or not, we want the fight at Croke Park, 80,000 people. It would be the biggest event in women’s boxing history. “
