Kentucky Racing Spotlight Radio Show Starts Running for 12 Weeks
Lucky 7 Stable’s Mike Mackin, renowned horse owner/bettor Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale and Kentucky Senate Majority Leader Damon Thayer are among the guests when Kentucky Racing Spotlight featured by the Kentucky HBPA will be featured. released on Friday. The weekly radio show will air 6-7 p.m. ET Friday through March 4 on Louisville’s ESPN 680/105.7, the area’s leader in sports talk.
Hosted by horse racing media veterans Jennie Rees and Joe Clabes, Kentucky Racing Spotlight assumes that Inside Churchill Downs has filled the span of the year. The show will feature Kentucky racers and riders, with a focus on Lawn ParkThe Winter Meetup, which also showcases the week’s major stakes across the country, as well as the horse breeding and auction industry. Regular segments will include interviews with Kentucky racing policymakers, corporate members of the Louisville Mixed Dog Association, and a behind-the-scenes look at aspects of the racing or breeding industry.
