Lamborghini Invencible and Auténtica: The Last Non-Hybrid V12s Launched
Only a few weeks until the new V12 hybrid supercar launches, lamborghini revealed two models at once, invincible coupe and Auténtica convertible, which will be one of the brand’s last non-hybrid V12s.
While it’s clear that these two cars are both based on the Aventador, the exterior and interior have been extensively redesigned.
According to Lamborghini, the front end is modeled after the track-only Essenza SCV12 and includes powerful vertical struts coming out of the splitter.
The bonnet features deep air intakes, said to be inspired by the air intakes on the 2010 Gallardo-based Sesto Elemento.
Red dominates the exterior and interior of the Invencible coupe, while the Auténtica coupe is finished in gray with yellow accents.
The Invencible and Auténtica are adorned with hexagons, a shape long favored by those in Lamborghini’s design department.
The hexagonal shape can be found in the LED lighting elements of the new headlights and taillights.
The hexagons can also be found on the 3D printed dashboard vents, engine bay vents and exhaust tips, finished in Inconel, a nickel-based alloy- Chromium was originally designed for the aerospace industry.
Unlike many other one-off models, the Invencible and Auténtica feature redesigned interiors that feature the usual mix of leather and faux suede.
The new dashboard does not have an infotainment screen to “emphasize the lightness of the cabin and focus attention on pure driving pleasure”.
Finally, there are no buttons on the steering wheel either.
Behind the passenger compartment of both cars is a version of the company’s naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine borrowed from the Aventador Ultimae. Thus, Invencible and Auténtica have 574kW And 720Nm at their disposal.
All that anger is quelled through all-wheel drive and a seven-speed automatic transmission. Rear steering is standard on both vehicles.
