International superstar Jake “The Problem Child” Paul met with members of the media on Monday in response to the news that he will face former MMA world champion Tyron “The Chosen One” Woodley. in their August rematch, which Paul won after professional boxer and reality TV star Tommy Fury pulled out of the December 18 fight due to health issues.
Paul vs. Woodley II, titled Leave No Doubt, will be the main event on SHOWTIME PPV, live from AMALIE Arena in Tampa, Fla., on Saturday, December 18 (9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT. ).

“This is boxing, right? Things like this happen and it’s unfortunate. But it will still be a big fight like last time. There are celebrities coming from left and right, some even more excited to see me fight Tyron again. There are unanswered questions. That is why the slogan of the war is ‘Without a doubt’.
“I have improved a lot in this training camp. I will have no doubt. I want to beat this guy. We could go on from there but for Fury it was an embarrassment. They said, ‘Oh, we’re going to fight Jake with a broken rib. We’re going to fight Jake for a chest infection. We’ll fight Jake with his arms tied behind his back. ‘ And then when it’s really time to fight me, they pull out.
“I received this news early Friday morning. My manager Nakisa spoke to Tyron, who is ready for a promotion. I believe that after that evening or the next day we had the contract signed from Tyron.
“I certainly respect Tyron for walking in. He has the ball. Tyron deserves a lot of credit for walking in here. But I’ve made a lot of tweaks and he’s going to fight someone else on December 18th. I’m excited to show him and the world that.
“For me, the biggest thing to achieve is to prove everyone wrong from last time thinking he won, which is hilarious. Including the judge who made the separation decision. Apparently, he’s in another fight. But now I’m going to support that and beat this guy. It just comes out when I say anything, anytime, anywhere, I mean. Most fighters are not like that. For me to take anyone, anywhere, anytime early in my career fighting eight rounds in my fifth game, that’s been unheard of. People just need to realize how serious I am and a lot of other professional boxers don’t train as hard as I do. They weren’t as prepared as I was.
“I fought with a broken nose. I fought with illness. The list goes on and on. The last battle against Tyron, I was hypnotized by the elbow. Do not say anything. Why? Because it doesn’t matter. I will still go in there and find a way to win. That is my motivation. Win.
“Tyron is the one to come immediately. He’s been training and the last battle was huge and there was a lot of hype around it. There are unanswered questions so he really is the perfect guy to throw in.
“The story has been defended in every way by people about my fights. I don’t care what people have to say or whether respect is there or not. The bottom line is that I have to go in and take this guy down. That is my job and I intend to do so.
“The show has to go on. I’ll fight anyone. Any one, any time, any place. I said. Our team said. I mean it. It’s the show. What do I mean? Imagine they got a call saying the match was cancelled. That sucks for everyone. I have to step on the plate and I don’t care who it is.
“I wonder everything about the Fury family. This kid is 22 years old, right? You throw in a 22-year-old who has never accomplished anything on his own. The only reason he does anything is because of his brother. He’s had a silver spoon in his mouth all his life. He became famous because of his brother. He never really had a real opponent. He has only ever been placed with those who intend to lose. When you throw in that, you throw in the fact that you’re fighting me – I’m a scary guy to fight – one-sided words, pressure, all these things, I think he cracked and tried to find a way out. I truly believe in the deepest bones of my body.
“We changed a lot of things in this training camp. From A to Z. The final showdown showed that I didn’t just go in there and take out Tyron. There is much work to be done. I certainly didn’t fight my best fight. It wasn’t even the best night of my life. There’s a lot of work to be done and we’ve done it at this camp. We went ten times harder. I’ve hit almost 200 rounds since that fight. Changed a lot of details. Diet. I stopped eating a lot of carbs. We sent a nutritionist over and he corrected everything one by one. I’m 10 pounds lighter than the last fight so I feel faster but at the same time stronger.
“There was this rumor around the knockout ban clause in my contract, which someone started and others ran after. Humans are like sheep. They just believe whatever they read or see. It was a completely untrue rumor. I’m going to jail for fighting cheating. It is illegal. We just want to quell that rumor immediately. From now on, we will reward my opponents if they can take me down because we want to encourage them and prove to the media and the world that all these rumors are not true. truth.
“Smart people who have looked at rumors of drug testing have found that there is drug testing for this war. The Florida State Athletic Commission is doing multiple drug tests on Tommy and I. There was never any denial that I ended up experimenting with any drugs.
“His withdrawal from the fight made me hesitant to fight him in the future. It really does. He did not appear at the press conference. He then withdrew from the fight. He did a terrible job in promoting the fight we had. He posts on social media once a week. He’s not as exaggerated as people think. Now I’m annoyed. I don’t like them. I don’t like anything to do with that family. I really don’t see any reason to come back next year and give him such a great opportunity and a big payday. It would almost be more fun and satisfying for me to just leave him in the dust and make him fight until he’s 25-0, if he gets that far, to get payday like he received in his eighth match.
“Amanda Serrano is great. She is a superstar. We are happy to help her take her career to the next level as she is giving it her all. She is one of the greatest boxers ever, male or female.
