The longest partial lunar eclipse in 580 years will happen on November 19 and shall be seen from components of Northeast India, an astrophysicist stated on Saturday.
The uncommon phenomenon shall be seen from a number of areas in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, Director of Analysis and Tutorial at MP Birla Planetarium Debiprosad Duari advised PTI.
The partial eclipse will begin at 12.48 pm and finish at 4.17 pm, he stated.
The period of the eclipse shall be 3 hours 28 minutes and 24 seconds, making it the longest in 580 years, Mr Duari stated.
