Mahindra Pik-Up recalled | auto expert
Mahindra has recalled the 2017-2019 S5 Pik-Up to address an issue with the diesel particulate filter (DPF).
“One of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) temperature sensors may be faulty. As a result, the vehicle’s Electronic Control Unit (ECU) can activate the safety feature in limp mode and cause engine loss,” the brand’s recall notice said.
“Losing the engine while driving can lead to a gradual decrease in vehicle speed.
“If this happens, traffic behind the vehicle may not react promptly, increasing the risk of an accident that causes injury or death to occupants and other road users.”
- A total of 556 vehicles are included in the recall
