Maiden Braids – The most beautiful hairstyle of summer

For the most part, I’m a shaggy-haired girl. I love braid and updosbut I just tend to let my hair down with a few curls most days.

However, summer is the season when I tend to have a higher bun because when it’s hot it feels nice. Am I right?

The style I do most often is a girly braid, which is a super simple version of braid. So I thought I’d share a super simple and quick tutorial that shows how I style this hairstyle with my hair length.

Step one: I combed and parted the center part all the way to the back of my head. If you have bangs or shorter hair in the front, you can leave them out.

Step two: I braided each side and tied it with clear elastic band. I like to use a clear tie because the ends are visible since I have longer (but not necessarily too long) hair.

Once I’m done braiding, I’ll pull the braids out a bit to make them look a little fuller.

This actually works better when my hair hasn’t been washed for a day or two, or I can use plumping powder to get a little texture (my hair is super fine).

Third step: I pinned the first braid with a couple of bobby pins to the center of the top of my head. The end often sticks to this stage, which looks pretty funny.

Step four: I pinned the other side in place and braided the ends underneath each braid. I usually shake my head to see if the braids are secure, and if not, I add another bobby pin or two.

That’s it! Easy, right? This style really only takes about five minutes to do, and I really like how it looks with my face shape. Plus, it makes my hair greasy in case it’s a hot, humid day.
